John McCain, Mr. Berlusconi friends of Libya, Gaddafri, Merchants of Death!!!

Jerusalem-based Debkafile, YET another Mossad "get Iran" story!

“I see your point. The original source for this is the right wing Jerusalem-based Debkafile, known for links to U.S. Republicans and Mossad, Onward Christian Soldier ….”

Sounds like another "get Iran" story to me.

"Word of the capture touched off a scramble in Tehran and among the terrorist groups it sponsors to get hold of their first unconventional weapons."

I suppose it kicked off a flurry of activity in Iran's chemical weapon followers. It would be really interesting to know all the possible links to America’s network of biological weapons facilities around the world, if any.

I really don't think Iran would touch chemical weapons with a barge pole now, and I'm surprised Gaddafi had them in the first place – and to use against who; Libya wasn't at war with anyone, or likely to go to war. If he had them then I suppose they came from the same country who gave them to both Iran and Iraq.

There are only two countries that have been known to use chemical weapons these days, and at least one of the two is itching to use them on Gaza again.  Why only now with this story?

This should be breaking news – and why they did not know about these stocks to start with – and to be targeted first. As if they did not know the connections of the rebels before taking sides in a civil war? There can only be one answer, “method in madness.”

Libyan rebels sold Hezbollah and Hamas chemical shells
David V. Dafinoiu

Libyan rebel “officers” sold Hezbollah and Hamas thousands of chemical shells from the stocks of mustard and nerve gas that fell into rebel hands when they overran Muammar Qaddafi’s military facilities in and around Benghazi, USSO’s exclusive intelligence sources report.

Word of the capture touched off a scramble in Tehran and among the terrorist groups it sponsors to get hold of their first unconventional weapons.

According to our sources, the rebels offloaded at least 2,000 artillery shells carrying mustard gas and 1,200 nerve gas shells for cash payment amounting to several million dollars.

US and Israeli intelligence agencies have tracked the WMD consignments from eastern Libya as far as Sudan in convoys secured by Iranian agents and Hezbollah and Hamas guards. They are not believed to have reached their destinations in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, apparently waiting for an opportunity to get their deadly freights through without the US or Israel attacking and destroying them.

As for other sources of weapons, looks like the chief supplier was Libya's friend Mr Berlusconi… and possibly Israel

Details of Senator John McCain trying to sell arms to Gaddafi here.

I wonder if any weapons being used or stockpile in Libya passed through Georgia? In total, between 2008 and 2009, Italy sold arms and armaments to Libya for a total of 205 million euros, more than a third of all weapons sold to Libya from the EU during that period.
So… the EU sold Libya about 600 million Euros of weapons in that period. Italy's defense minister is called Ignazio La Russa – maybe the Georgian FM misheard (we should give him the benefit of the doubt) and should have said "Russan" instead of "Russian"?

I remember reading that Russia stood to lose $4bn in arms sales to Libya because of the current situation, and it sounds like they sold a huge amount of hardware to them after fall of the Soviet Union – but these recent contracts were signed but not yet fulfilled, as far as I can tell…

Accusations of Israeli weapons seized by the rebels here – but this is PressTV, and unsubstantiated…
Georgia now blames Russia for… Gaddafi killing civilians “Get Real!”

Georgian Foreign Minister, Grigol Vashadze said that ICJ’s argument behind its decision not to progress Georgia’s application against Russia to the merit phase was “totally ridiculous.”

The Georgian Foreign Minister also said this decision by ICJ was “a wonderful example” of “why we are living in the world we are living.”

“Russia being a permanent member of the [UN] Security Council is another good demonstration, an example why we live in the world we live, when they [Russia] have been selling or granting arms to… somebody like Gaddafi and now those weapons are killing civilians and the international community has to take an action,” Vashadze said.
